PC Ninja Celebrates Grand Opening in Wyomissing!

rsz_ribboncuttingOn Wednesday, November 6, 2013 PC Ninja celebrated the grand opening of the new storefront in the Park Road Plaza of Wyomissing.  Radio station WEEU 830 AM broadcasted live from the shop, with three hours of tech talk between the PC Ninja himself, Melvin Foo, and host “Mighty Mike” Faust.  Foo discussed how he, as a Chinese-Malaysian educated in England, is building his own American Dream here in Berks County.  Listeners came by the shop or called in with their computer questions for Foo to answer on air and to pick up tip sheets, company information, and some delicious Chick-fil-A catering.

Several business owners and friends jumped into the broadcast to congratulate Foo on the company’s expansion.  Ian Heckman, of Heckman LLC, contractor for the new store explained how he and Foo redesigned the former bagel shop into the perfect Ninja Den.  Heckman joined PC Ninja’s office managers in holding the ribbon by the Ninja Mobile for Foo to cut, announcing PC Ninja officially open for business.  Members of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce presented a plaque of commemoration.  When Mighty Mike asked Foo what it felt to see this dream realized, the proud owner was nearly too choked up to answer, managing only, “It feels…great!” and sending thanks to his patient, supportive wife and sons and all the friends who made this moment possible.  The broadcast concluded with the exciting giveaway of a new Dell laptop to one lucky customer and cake for all open house visitors.

The grand opening also marked the launch of PC Ninja’s computer training courses.  The shop features a state-of-the art training room, the “Ninja Dojo,” outfitted with laptops for each trainee.  Courses for November and December include:  Basic Computing, Computer Maintenance, Internet Basics, Microsoft Windows 8, Social Media & Networking, Buying & Selling Online, Introduction to E-mail, and Computers for Seniors.  You can visit the Training section of the website to find out more and register, or call PC Ninja at 610-816-5387.
