All files on your computers are backed up periodically to Carbonite’s server. This is an annual subscription based service. The Carbonite software is downloaded and installed on each computer and the backup is automatic. This option is suited for small to medium sized businesses. A fast and reliable Internet connection is required.

Datto is a hybrid cloud backup where single or multiple computers are backed up to a single device in the business location. That device then syncs up with a cloud server (at periodic times). This option is suited for medium to large sized businesses with 1) larger sized data files 2) multiple computers that need to be backed up and 3) servers and workstations that need fast recovery in times of problems. A fast and reliable Internet connection is recommended but not as important. Prices will depend on how much backup space you need and is an annual subscription based service.
